This is not Patrick Gallagher but a nice illustration of how it can be behind the counter at an airport.

Introducing Patrick Gallagher – Sharing Stories & Airport Tales!

Aviation, Travel Industry

I am very pleased to introduce a new guest writer: Patrick Gallagher who has solid experience from working at airports in the United Kingdom and Ireland. I am very excited and looking forward to read his essays because I have never worked at an airport, only been there as a guest or passenger.

Here is a short introduction from Patrick:

“My name is Patrick Gallagher and I live in Southern Ireland. I’m married with one child, and my wife’s expecting our second in June. In the 90s and early part of the 2000s I worked at Stansted, Heathrow and Dublin airports, but most of my time was spent at Heathrow. I write as a means of documenting experiences in my position as an airline ticket agent. In recent years I’ve started making comedy animations based loosely on some of the things I witnessed (sometimes suspected) in travel. I’m a closet plane spotter with an intrigue for the darker, unseen side of the travel business.”

Patrick is not only a talented writer, he also makes animated movies about his experiences at the airport as Wee Town on Youtube.  Some of the cartoons are being revised so make sure to check back often. You will find his work on: www.thinkingoftravel.com/author/patrick.

I am very much looking forward to read the airport tales and learn more about how it is to work at an airport. Please join me in welcoming Patrick on Twitter, on Facebook or in the comments below.

Happy New Year to all of you! I am honoured and flattered that you are visiting my site and I love you all!
